The story of Dia begins with the children in the library. When Dia looks up from her book, her friends are nowhere to be seen. Dia (who has hearing loss) feels left out and starts to make up scenarios as to why her friends left. She is then reflective and remembers her friends are kind and wouldn't leave her on purpose. With thankful feelings for her friends she makes emotionally intelligent choices. This leads her to her superhero transformation and the reveal of her inner power of gratitude.
