Who are we?
In this policy, "we", "our" or "us" refers to Pick a Poppins Ltd. Pick a Poppins Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 10993387. We are a child emotional development consultancy providing child sessions, parent sessions, children's books and free educational resources through the Selfwise™ framework. Website visitor tracking
This website uses Google Analytics to monitor visitor behaviour and understand how the site is used. Google Analytics collects anonymised data including pages visited, time spent on site and general location. No personally identifiable information is stored. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
- Whether you are a parent, guardian, teacher or caregiver
- Your email address
- Which country you are located in
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To send you free resources you have requested, such as the Find Your Power activity sheet or the Feeling Chart Explorer
- To notify you when the Selfwise™ home and school programme becomes available, should you choose to join the waitlist
- To tailor our content to you in our newsletter, should you choose to subscribe to it
- To contact you via email about feedback or enquiries
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting hello@thechildconsultant.com.
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access — you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information
- Your right to rectification — you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate

Data protection insurance
We have in place cyber and data protection insurance with Hiscox Business Insurance, with £250,000 of annual cover. This insurance is designed to support and protect us from evolving cyber threats and risks associated with data. Through this policy, we have access to the Hiscox CyberClear® Academy, a GCHQ-certified web-based training platform that assists in the prevention of network, cyber and privacy losses.
